Make your own paper bobbins for bobbin lace: cheap and beautiful

I promised on my post Tutorial: make your own bobbin lace pillow, to show how to make your own bobbins for bobbin lace.

This tutorial is based on another tutorial that I found on the web some time ago, but that I couldn´t find again, …so I will pass my own version.

Material

• The pattern
• Scissors
• Glue

How to make it

Print the pattern and cut out.

Glue the back part of the paper and roll it up starting on the part that with the width not cut out, till you get a tube on a bobbin shape.

That is! It is really easy!

Decorate your bobbins!

To get variate bobbins, you can change the back image of the bobbin.

To make it, download the pattern on PPT (Power point) format.

Download the different motifs:

Now, open Power point and follow this steps:

• Select the big rectangle, click on the mouse right button and select “Image format”.
  
• Click “Filling”, click”Fill with image or texture” and select “Archive”.
  
• Select the image that you want to use, Accept and then “Close”. That is, we get a bobbin with another motif, ready to print and roll!
